BV> So I gather the urgent requirement has passed then.
BG> It had, actually, then Russ rang up yesterday afternoon and uploaded
BG> all 8 disks of it to me.

On'ya Russ !

BG> I thought you were going to bring up both of your VCRs though?

Yeah well...

BG> Oh well, I'm sure they'll manage to wait until winter too.

Unless I sell them in the meantime.

BG> Since when have you been running V.34 ?
BV> I saw all the fun that you guys were having with V.34 so I decided
BV> to join in. I got a good deal on a Banksia V.34 so I bought one.
BV> Plugged it into my COM2: typed ATZ and away it went.
BV> I'm not having any problems at all, I was ripped off.
BG> Damn, I told you to buy a NetComm, but you wouldn't listen!
BG> Oh well, if it doesn't play up, you've nobody to blame but yourself.

Yeah. Bummer wot! I'm going to demand a refund unless they can supply me
with one that doesn't work properly.

BG> I've had a gutful of Paul's M34F lately, and couldn't handle any
BG> more problems.
BV> That's why I got a Banksia :)
BG> I trust it's not one of their awful el-cheapo RPI models ?

Ke ? RPI ? Wha-cha-torkin-bout-man ?

Re: Locked line I/F speed and disabling CNG tones...

BG> Look in the manual for

Hmmm ... "manual" ... Banksia, Oh!
You mean the scrap of paper that was in the box.

BG> V.25 call indicate tones, and how to disable them

Index ... V.25 ... nufin! Search scrap of paper ... nufin !

BG> (#C0 on the M34F,

Index ... # commands ... nufin! Search scrap of paper ... nufin !

GF> S54=64 on the USR

Index ... S54 ... nufin! Search scrap of paper ... nufin !

I was jipped! Ripped-orf, that's disgusting. Not only don't I have a
V.25 indication tone, but my # commands are missing and some bastard
stole my S54 register. Thank goodness for that, there is hope yet.
Perhaps if I can locate the V.25 tone, re-install the # commands and
find the bastard that stole my S54 register then the modem will
stuff up like everyone elses. Thanks Bill, I feel better already.

Cheers, Brenton
