Yeah, I'd tend to agree with that as well.  Presumably you saw those line
stats from Dave last week, which gave the Rx/Tx as -14dBm/-18dBm
respectively.  :)  Nothing wrong with those lines at all, that's for sure.

I'm not convinced that we'll ever resolve this problem at this level.

Precisely, and as that level of reporting is only available from modems
like the Sportster or Courier, it all becomes rather moot.
