(Ta heck if I can recall exactly where we left off, but I'll just wing it like usual. ;-) I just heard casually, that if a muscle receives damage, it can be trouble for the rest of the patients life. I can't honestly tell you if I have nerve or muscle damage, or both. All I know for sure, is the hamstring sings loud and clear every time I excite it. Now, the specialist was pretty successful and twangin' the nerve by manipulation, so I believe most of our efforts are aiming at that right now. A nick in the nerve, could have encouraged it to grow together as a jumbled mess. When the nerve fires, it is quite a storm. Adhesions, and scar tissue, I'm pretty sure I would have worked out in my waining days on the job. Seventy to eighty pounds up four commercial flights of stairs, then back down again with a second seventy to eighty pound load tends work out those in short order. JB> The nerve can be disconnected by drowning it in alcohol. AH> Uh-huh... the problem doesn't really go away, but AH> you don't care. I had an experience like that once when I AH> was coming down with the flu.... :-)) Not the self remedy - the MD suggested it as a drastic measure to put the nerve permanently to sleep with an injection of Methyl Hydrate or some such. There forward, one would never know if their leg was in boiling water, or if frost-bite was causing ganga green. JB> Two steps forward... I just refuse the one back. No, it's not the way I was planing to spend my mid-life crisis, but it does give me a good excuse to tell the cheerleaders to take the day off. JB> I drove almost all of the way to MB and back. You may have overextended yourself a bit. But if AH> you did something you really wanted to do, it's worth AH> it.... :-) I really want to fly, but I doubt I'll grow wings or jump off a bridge. Aspirin thins the blood, allowing more of it to reach afflicted areas. Headaches are usually alleviated, in that the less viscous fluid tends to not build up so much. I found this summer, I'd hit myself hard with the Aspirin, as SOON as I loosened the boots. I'd hit it again in four hours if I needed, and that kept me going pretty well. Anti-inflammitories (*profens specifically) tend to do me no good. JB> My best composition to date AH> So on the whole, the trip was beneficial. I rest my case... AH> [grin]. Even I know this is out of context. The memory aint *that* bad. (-| AH> Sounds good!
