WL> We already know Clinton has no sense of shame; apparently he
WL> either is counting on Judge Wright's decision not being
WL> overturned, or he lacks the intelligence with which even his
WL> harshest critics echo have credited him. This matter is not
WL> over; even if he never has an opportunity to try to charm a
WL> jury (and then claim they were biased against him if/when they
WL> find him guilty anyway), the history books (well, some of them
WL> anyway) will record him as a sleazeball and suspected criminal.
The most DAMNING thing about Bubba is and isn't about him and his partnerette
le criminale (that's partner in crime in French, for those of you in Rio
Linda)
is the fact that the Peepul elected him not once, but TWICE! to the prime
office in the country. DOes this lying criminal in Presidental pants (well,
perhaps not in them as often as he should be) REALLY reflect the country that
elevated him? WIll Rogers said that we get the government we deserve...felons
like Bubba indicate we are on a Roman decline with Bubba in the role of the
Emporer Tiberius... or perhaps Caligula?
Don't get me wrong; I did not IMO waste my votes on him. I rather think that
there is still good in this country. For history.. honest history will brand
this man the criminal of office in this century only after two: Hitler and
Stalin.

SF> Being a route driver I listen to the radio everyday. I listen to
SF> Rush's radio program most days. The one thing I dislike is the
SF> tendency to harp on the same subject for days on end. Though I do not
I'd admit that Rush's program spends a lot of time covering the
same ground, but that's largely because Rush talks about whatever
is grabbing the headlines and news-airtime on a given day. If a
story stays in the news for several days, he and the callers will
discuss the new developments as well as all that has gone before.
Rush made a decision at the very beginning of the national show
to do a program that doesn't pre-plan topics or book guests as
most other national programs did...and still do, for that matter.
As he puts it, his show is event-driven rather than topic-driven.
SF> agree with Rush often(if I did I would have to see a therapist since
SF> disagreeing is a natural human instinct) when he is right it is
SF> because he has done his "homework".
From what little I've been able to gather from the few magazine
articles and TV features that have been done on him, he does a
lot of homework. It starts with e-mail and faxes that come in
after each day's show, adds TV news and newsmagazines that
evening, and continues with more e-mail until late into the
night. The next morning begins with newspapers and the morning
TV news shows, may continue with an all-news radio station on
the way to the office, then adds snailmailmail and more
newspapers (for a total of eight each day) to the combination
of TV news, e-mail and faxes. Throw in a little time spent
with news magazines and other media outlets, and you've got a
full day with little room for a social life; but Rush and Marta
aren't big on the social scene anyway.
I wouldn't want to live like that; but I'm glad Rush enjoys it,
because it means I can enjoy listening to Rush.
