Hohum. If I have a problem with DB2 I take it up with IBM, if I have a
problem with Weblogic I take it up with BEA. I could go on & on listing
products where the support is provided by the vendor of the app.

It seems there are an awful lot of special cases

If you have a problem with WinDVD do you get onto MS support or InterVideo?
