DD> Isn't ZModem a software phenomenom, not hardware or firmware?
Zmodem will fix errors in the communications link. EC is meant
to make the vast bulk of the communications link error-free. I
have evidence that the Spirit->Hayes? does not do V42bis error-free,
and of course, I have my RS232 cable running alongside power cables,
so that could have a bearing. Then there's the OS not responding
to interrupts in Windows case with a 16450, enabling smartdrive as
in Matthew Parkers case, and there is a possibility that there is
something wrong with the M34F missing characters, I'd need to do
a lot of testing to determine that, with a replacement modem.
