Maybe not, but I have four, and I don't like them much either. One was DOA,
replaced, another died within 14 days of installation, and they all sound
very whiney and clattery. I wouldn't recommend one either.

I see. And to use your own argument, how many Zooms do you own ? Not
"how many friend's dog's mate's wives do you know who once saw a Zoom
box", but how many have you ACTUALLY had through your hands ? Grant
has had at least a few, and I have had, and exhaustively tested, more than
I care to count, and I have found them to have low return rates, no
technical support worries, and in general, all the appearance of a
high-quality product. Since they are made in the same factory as Microcom,
this is hardly surprising.
