I was talking about the frequencies that are being shared by
FRS and GMRS. GMRS on those frequencies you can only use
5 watts, but FRS may only use a 1/2 watt.

BC> The second seven, as you call them , have always been there.

BC> The FRS freqs are in between the 462 MHz freqs.

The complete list of GMRS frequencies are:

462.550
462.5625 Shared by FRS
462.575
462.5875 shared by FRS
462.600
462.6125 shared by FRS
462.625
462.6375 shared by FRS
462.650
462.6675 shared by FRS
462.675
462.6875 shared by FRS
462.700
462.7125 shared by FRS
462.725

Basically the difference is, you need a license to use the
frequencies at the full power allowed, but you don't need a
license on the frequencies shared by FRS, as long as you
keep your power under a 1/2 watt.

No new frequencies were created, they just shared the GMRS
handheld frequencies to be used at lower power.
