-> If the copy was legitimate, why did you say in a prior message it
-> was a "terrible" copy? Does Disney archives deliberately release
-> 4th or 5th generation copies on purpose, to discourage piracy? It
-> seems to me if the copy came from Disney, it would be crystal clear.
I didn't say it was a 4th or 5th generation copy, did I? As far as the
quality of a copy that Disney makes in its archives, I think that
depends on the quality of the orginal, the equipment used to create the
copy and the time spent on trying to make the best possible end-product.
It doesn't look to me like this was a great job. It may have been an
attempt at a great job that failed, who knows?
-> Keep in mind anyone with a video toaster can overlay "property of
-> Disney" on a copy to "make" it look authentic.
Well, the actual information is more than that. It contains the date the
tape was made. The archive number and place of the film, serial numbers
and information like that. I have no reason to believe this was made in
any way by illegitimate means.
-> I think you better be very careful Kit.
Why? I know what I have.
