There are 2 of us here in Melb. that are looking at that very thing. Rather than any special hardware and/or software, we propose to just connect the PC's serial port to the C64's serial port, and have a background job running to receive and interpret C64 disk commands. Actually, my mate has an Amiga which he'd like to use, and I have 2 PCs.
