In most of the US the language is not generally used quite so 
specifically.  I read "a jpg" as any given jpg on the system.  It was 
mostly from the context, one system has them the other doesn't.  That 
said, I could easily have been the one to have misread it so being as 
specific and generous with details as possible is better when 
requesting help.
