Tony I. would be the guy to ask, my take on it is that at best it will
initially raise the difficulty factor a bit. The flip side is cpu's have
bugs so will this be the start of cpu exploits? One of the things I enjoy
reading is the hacking wars between sat TV and the sat hackers. They
actually hacked the cpu to get to program the sat cards so I'm well aware
of how the thinking can change and desktop cpu's are way more complex which
means there is way more stuff to hack at.

My thought is the way to make something secure is to stop changing it every
couple years and instead come up with something that works then spend the
next 5-8 years securing it. New stuff is never secure but the industry
seems to survive off the upgrade treadmill so nothing is ever secure until
they are ready to discontinue it.
