Your wife is a separate being, subordinate to you in rank, authority,
and position.

The Bible illustrates it beautifully and perfectly:

"But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the
head of a woman is her husband, and the head of Christ is God." 1Co 11:3

God is the head of Christ, just as you are the head of your wife,
according to God's own inspired words.  God *wants us to understand.*
No mystery trinity in sight.

We just celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary, and my husband and I
can just look at each other and know what the other is thinking, yet, he
is older, more experienced, and my head, just as the Christ is head of
the congregation.  I must obey and learn from him, just as Christ
*obeyed* and *learned* from his head.(John 8:28; Heb. 5:8) Loving
headship is not chafing to submit to, but a joy.  We rejoice in praying
to and serving the very same God to which Christ prayed repeatedly, and
in getting to know the Christ, we get to know Jehovah, his Father and God.

The fruits of the spirit are manifest among those who truly submit to
the Prince of Peace as ruler.  Unlike the governments of imperfect men,
Christ's Kingship is able to bring peace where it seemed impossible,
even with imperfect subjects.  All to God's glory.

"And he shall stand, and shall feed his flock in the strength of
Jehovah, in the majesty of the name of Jehovah his God: and they shall
abide; for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth."  Mic. 5:4
