Hello,

Were you aware that the Bible (not men) teaches us that the
"antichrist" is not just one person, but "many" persons
who oppose
Christ? The apostle John shows this clearly at 2 John 7,

"Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the
flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver
and the antichrist." (NIV)

Also 1 John 2:18,

"Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the
antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how
we know it is the last hour." (NIV)

Notice in that last verse John said "even now" antichrists had come.
Thus people defined as having an  antichrist personality started back
in the first century. Notice also 1 John 4:3,

"but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This
is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and
even now is already in the world." (NIV)

Again, we see that the antichrist situation was already going on in the
first century. John actually defines some of the people who are the
antichrist. In 1 John 2:22,

"Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ.
Such a man is the antichrist--he denies the Father and the Son." (NIV)

Also at 1 John 2:19 apostates are also included,

"They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if
they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their
going showed that none of them belonged to us." (NIV)

Thus the Bible teaches that there are many antichrists, not just one
only. And this composite antichrist started back in the first century.
