Wade,
WN> Fran... Thanks for all the nifty info on Stumpy. My wife went to the
WN> libraryto find out more, but couldn't find a book on them.
Most libraries are lacking in bookd on Parrots. So are book stores.
WN> Just a wild guess? Again, thanks for all the info.
Welcome.
WN> Amazon, named TJ. He has psittacosis and had his last treatment today.
WN> heard that Psittacosis is a life long disease that is contagious even
WN> wash very good, is there a chance he could infect my Golden Wing.?
After the treatment your brother should have the bird tested two more times.
Before your brother comes to visit you he should shower, put on clean clothes
and shoes that have not been in the birds area...until he is certain that the
bird is negative.
Their are birds that are negative that are carriers, but to say that the bird
is a life long disease is like saying that pnumonia (sp) is a life long
ing.
How did the bird get the psittacosis. Is it around ather birds? Is the vet
treating the bird and why is she giving it away?
Fran
