subject: FOUR NEW PRODUCTS!!!

* Crossposted in area PUBLIC_DOMAIN, AUST_C_HERE, NET_DEV, OS2PROG,
                       ZONE3_SYSOP

After a hell of a lot of debugging, I now have new versions and new
products, depending on how up-to-date you are, of the following things:

PDCOMM - several bugs found and swatted. The most important thing is that
I am now happy (as I'll ever be) with the interface. Which isn't the same
as the old interface. That's why this one is now at version 1.00.

PDPZM - send and receive are both working. It's not perfect, but it is
certainly a great starting position. This is now also at version 1.00, and
uses the new comms routines.

DDC - only change is to use the new comms routines.

RSEND - this is a point package. There was briefly an unannounced 1.00.
1.10 uses the new comms routines.

I expect PDCOMM to be ported to the Amiga and Unix before too long, which
will make the other 3 instantly available.

Note that in order to compile all this stuff, you will need to have the
latest versions (maybe older ones work too), of PDCRC, OZPD and TOBRUK.
These three packages are currently at versions PDCRC200, OZPD9611 and
TBK033. FREQ by magic name please, as these are all subject to change.
Especially Tobruk, which has messagebase routines to do *.MSG on Amiga and
Linux in alpha form already (TBKALPHA.ZIP), and is actually be used in that
form by someone on the Amiga at the moment. This will be an interlude
though, because I have also ported MSGAPI38.ZIP to the Amiga and Linux, so
Tobruk will have squish support too. You can get an *unofficial hack* of
MSGAPI38.ZIP by getting MSGAPI3X.ZIP. Don't get it! Wait for it to be
incorporated into Tobruk so we know that it works properly.

Anyway, here's a blurb on all the above products except MSGAPI38 which is
now under Andrew Clarke's control, and is going to be renamed too. Sorry
but I didn't take enough drugs last night to make up something
enthusaistic-sounding about the new ones I added. BFN. Paul.

P.S. FREQ this stuff from 3:711/934, or wait a bit of time and hope that
Bob Juge makes it available from 1:106/2000 or juge.com (he often has in
the past).

P.P.S. In short, FREQ "PDCOMM", "PDPZM",
"DDC", "RSEND", "PDCRC", "OZPD" and
"TOBRUK" from 3:711/934 to get the only officially released
stuff.

P.P.P.S. If your name is Andrew Clarke or Bob Juge, you can have an attempt
at ftping from rosebay.matra.com.au in the /avon directory, but I haven't
uploaded the stuff there yet, I'm not even sure if it works, and my ISP
will get the shits if everyone tries to ftp from there. I'll attempt to
(once, briefly), though.

This file contains a blurb on some of the products that I (Paul
Edwards) have released. The latest versions of the files can all
be FREQed from 3:711/934{at}fidonet by the magic name shown on the left,
e.g. "TOBRUK" to get Tobruk. Each of these products represents
many many man-days/weeks/months of work.
