| subject: | 4 Questions about PM and TCP/IP boo |
Hi!
I've got a few questions for you experts out there, 6 actually, not 4:
1) What's your opinion of "Art of OS/2 Programming"? Is it fully
compatible
with Visual Age C++? (note C++, not C). Of course C stuff is used, but the
API-stuff about PM programming and all that, what about that? The primary
reason I am interrested in the book is that I wanna lear PM-programming using
APIs (don't wanna "cheat" using OpenClass, wanna know how stuff works).
2) "Real World Programming for OS/2 2.11", what about that one?
Is it fully
compatible with WARP 3.0/4.0? C++? APIs or libs?
3) Is there any other good OS/2 programming books that covers PM programming
and maybe some more stuff avaliable that is also compatible with Visual Age
C++?
4) About PM programming. How do people design there PM apps when using APIs? I
can't use, for instance, the dialog editor that comes with VAC++. Do you all
design by poking around with number, or do you have some sort of tool for
this?
5) What's your opinion of "TCP/IP Programming for OS/2 WARP"? Good?
C++ compatible? Covers most of the TCP/IP aspects? Based on APIs?
6) Any other good TCP/IP programming books for OS/2? Also VAC++ compatible
please :-)
Thank you very much for your time! Any replys are greitly appreciated!
