Jehovah chose to foreknow what Jeremiah would be like. However, Romans 9:11
makes clear that it is impossible for humans to do anything good or evil
before birth, so it was a case of foreknowledge, not actual acquaintance.

No. Peter wasn't Satan, either, even though Jesus directly addressed him by
that name (Mt. 16:23). Jesus used it as a dramatic illustration to prove a
point. John the Baptizer denied being Elijah at John 1:21. The angel had
not told John's father Zechariah that John would be Elijah, but that he
would have "Elijah's spirit and power" (Luke 1:17)

Jesus himself said that it was a *vision*. (Mt. 17:9)
>When believers die, what is it that sleeps?
It is not literal sleep, it is like a switch being in the "off" position.
Life = "on", death = "off".
Death is *likened* to sleep, in that 1) the dead are unconscious, and 2) the
dead have a hope of being reawakened, as easily as we can awaken the living,
Jesus can and WILL awaken the dead, as he demonstrated while on earth.
(Eccl. 9:5, 10; Ps 146:4; Pr 2:18; Isa 26:14; Ps 6:5; Isa 38:18, 19; John
11:11-14; 1 Cor. 15:20, 21)
Peace to you and yours.
