HL>Hello Tim
TH>I have a simple numerical data type in a SUB. I set it to,
TH>say, '5' and simply attempt to PRINT it. I get a run-time overflow
TH>at the print command!
TH>Of course it doesn't do this consistently. just *below* the
TH>PRINT command I have a FOR/NEXT with STEP -1. If I change the STEP
TH>to '1' I get no error. I tried a DO/LOOP increment, no error;
TH>decrement, error.
HL>This sounds rather consistent to me. But... could you be more
HL>specific? I couldn't produce the error. What numeric data type did
HL>you use? What is the data type of the for loop counter? Maybe you
HL>could give a clear example in which you get the run-time overflow.
Next time it happens I'll do a better job at documenting it. I had a
short test program, but I don't know what I did with it. [sigh]
