subject: DeScribe Frequent Flyer `Upgrade`

I recently paid to update my registration and receive the "Frequent
Flyer Upgrade" to the DeScribe Voyager CD. Unfortunately I have found
that the "upgrade" has removed the ability to operate correctly
on a ZipStream compressed drive. The Voyager version works perfectly on
the same drive, so it would appear that they added something to the FFU
that bollixes things.

I posted a question about this in the "Support Forum" on their
web site and received no constructive answer, so I am posting here to ask
if anyone here has developed a ZAP or patch to deal with this.

I suspect the problem is somewhere in their startup code which checks for a
network drive, as the release supposedly will not work on a network and I
have already seen at least one program (ZOC) which confuses a ZipStream
drive with a network drive and requires a "/NONET" parameter to
work on one. I would look into this myself, but I'm an IBM mainframe
person, not an OS/2 programmer ( other than a little bit of Rexx fiddling).
 Can anyone help with this?

Dave
