Thank you for your considered reply, Sarah.  You are quite correct in
stating that the Bible does eloquently illustrate the fact of oneness:

Gal. 3:28 ... there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in
Christ Jesus.

What you have given as a reference, as we have discussed before if you
will but remember, speaks to office, not personhood.  Just as man is
the head of woman, so the Father's office was over the Son's office
during the Son's kenosis as noted and explained by Paul in Phil 2.
We've been over this before also.  Office does not detract from
dignity.  I once resided in the upper managerial echelons but now I
choose to be just a common laboror.  The world may conclude that I have
lost position because of its definition of success, but I am still the
same man.  Christ chose to be a little lower than angels, that is, by
His incarnation He became a man, but like my change in station,  there
was no change in essence.

Sarah, a primary economic distinction made by Christ through His work
and now through His revelation given to us in the NT epistles, is that
the Body of Christ, i.e. the Church, is to become an entity as is the
Godhead -having a uni-plural nature.  This is well revealed in His high
priestly prayer of Jn 17, esp v 21.

You once asked me what my thoughts on heaven were.  I perceived it as a
leading question at the time and excussed myself.  But here it becomes
appropriate to comment on it.  I do not view it primarily having to do
with the material, that is, inheriting a new earth.  The Church is not
give materialist eternal promises.  Rather, as the Body of Christ, the
Church will become, what Satan realized and became jealous of and
coveteous of to the point that envy drove him to madness - like God.
As individuals we will be wed to Christ and thus united in essence yet
retaining our personhood.

That you do not accept God as He is, Uni-Plural, Tri-Unity, archetype
of the uni-verse which is typical of its Creator.  (Please understand
"typical").  And because you refuse this revelation, you are left with
no answer to the fundamental dilemma of all thinking men -unity &
diversity.

Sarah, I thank you for your reply, but you do not answer my questions.
For instance, the question of "love."  Love requires two persons.  How
can love be eternal if God is one as a singularity as you say?  Also,
you cannot provide a basis for community.  I don't know how many
children you have, but if you have 3, you know how easy life was with
two before the third came along.  Two persons, let alone three, add a
totally different dimension to sociological relationship.  Two people
can get alone reasonably well, as two child.  But put in a third and
the first will play with the 3rd and exclude the 2nd or the first 2
will play with each other and exclude the 3rd, etc.  Trinity speaks of
perfect community.  It alone provides an adequate basis for societal
law and relationships.

The implications of Trinity are more than we can imagine.  That you
disbelieve the basic nature of God means that you do not fulfill the
first of Christ's commandments you are thus necessarily guilty of the
first 3 commandments of decalogue.
