BL> It couldn't be my OS. Windows doesn't have any bugs. PE> You could try running under raw DOS, but I noticed the problem PE> doesn't happen very often with you. Yair... I've been using Windows with the comms settings I used in the old 386. I've reduced the buffer and time given to process the com interrupt, but it'll be a month before I know if it's worked. PE> I was up early today and saw Rod's transfer, for a few minutes, PE> then I left and figured out it was easier to look in the log PE> than wait the next 8 minutes, which I did, and he had no PE> problem. Who knows. I get one every week or so, and so far I can't see that it's related to anything. It's nearly a week since I changed the boost time and buffer, so maybe it'll work. It's always a TIMEOUT error... which is strange. Regards, Bob ___ Blue Wave/QWK v2.12 @EOT: ---* Origin: Precision Nonsense, Sydney (3:711/934.12) SEEN-BY: 711/934 |
