| subject: | Re: Volume Names and Shares |
From: John Beckett I'm not sure what your underlying problem is, but I can confirm that the volume label for a partition has no influence on shares or the operation of Browse Masters. A browse master will retain the names of servers that the BM learned from advertisements sent by the servers. Each name is retained for a certain period, even if the server is switched off (can be up to around an hour).
