subject: embossing powder techniques

Hi Valerie,
VM> How would that effect the embossing that you WANT to do on the card?
It
VM> sounds like it would work to keep the powder from sticking in the areas
VM> you don't want any ep, but then will it stick in the
 VM> places you stamped and
 VM> want to emboss?
The downey towelet will keep the emobossing powder from sticking to areas you
DON'T want it too.... the wet embossing ink or marker will let the embossing
powder adhere to it. The towelet shouldn't cause any problems with the
embossed areas.
VM> Thats what I do as well. It seems like certain powders cause me more
VM> trouble than others. Like white ep and black ep and Ruby red ep seem to
VM> stick more on the paper. Do you just hate it when your brushing off the
VM> unwanted powder and your brush hits the powder you want
 VM> to stick? It makes
VM> me so mad and it happens almost all the time.
Yep, me too! I try and use a very small pointed brush for "flicking" the
areas where it sticks.... I have an embossing pen so if I do touch the
embossed area I can touch it up with the pen and re emboss and heat. Works
great!
Gail
