Story (urban legend?) was that the guy who sold the rights to SeattleDOS
retained the right to sell DOS (not sure if it was the enhanced version
from MS or just his version) with a computer. So he did: he shipped an
8088 chip with it. He subsequently sold that right back to MS for a
reputed
$1million.
