BL> But in the meantime, consider this:

BL> Bill is the most experienced one here with modems.

Who ended up face down in the much when he proclaimed that the
handshaking problems he saw with the Spirit would go away instantly
when the Spirit was replaced with ANYTHING else, and ended up looking
pretty fucking silly indeed when the problem got HEAPS worse when it was.

Who also proclaimed that the handshaking problem must certainly be
due to Pauls 'poor line' or user error or both, and ended up looking
damned silly indeed when a Sportster rom changed fixed that, and even
sillier when an M34F/M34F pair didnt show it on those calls either.

Who also proclaimed that there must be something fundamentally
fucked with pauls line because he never saw any problems with
V34 modems when testing hundreds of them at CHH, but who ended
up face down in the mud AGAIN, when he discovered he had EVEN
WORSE problems calling CHH himself from his own home line.

That should tell you something about his analytical capabilitys.

BL> I am a electronic engineer.

Who designed what is widely regarded as the biggest heap of shit of a
TV the world has ever seen. Bar none. And who clearly hasnt got a fucking
clue what V34 is about, and is so far into his senile dotage that he cant
grasp that it might be a fine idea to actually understand what a modern
trellis protocol is about before pontificating on modems that use them.

BL> Joe is a development engineer with USR.

So its hardly very surprising if he trys to pretend that their cant
possibly be any problem with the USR stats with non USR modems.

BL> We three say one thing and you say another.

Sounds like an excellent set of reasons to bin what you three say actually.
