That's not quite true, and on the M34F, we know that this is specifically
not the case at all. In on-line mode, %L will indicate the current line
receive level, but in command mode, the same %L can be used to set the Tx
level.

= 0 Display current receive level (-dBm)
= 11-19 Set transmit level -11dBm to -19dBm
