KR> thats no problem, the only constraints are that inserts are a problem, KR> and, as brenton pointed out, some roms have checksums. i reburnt the KR> bios roms in my old '286 in order to facilitate using ide drives, the KR> thing winged every time that i booted up coz the checksum didn't. A standard AT BIOS ain't a problem as it's checksum location is easily found and changed. The later AMI BIOS's were a *BASTARD* as they had a few checksums hidden within them and the drive table was one of them.
