Hello Alan. 17 May 16 18:35, you wrote to all: AI> Hello All, AI> There seems to be a bit of a snag linking between BBBS and Mystic so I AI> have a couple questions.. :) AI> What type of .pkt files does BBBS create when sending mail to other AI> nodes? To my knowledge BBBS uses type 2 packets. That being said, I have not found a place in the BBBS configs to change that and little is mentioned in the docs on packet types. Other BBBS Sysops might have more info. AI> Is it possible to configure BBBS to send different .pkt types to a AI> certain nodes? Not that I have seen. I have had that same problem myself. I get a mail feed from a Mystic system and most of the mail packets I was getting were being rejected by BBBS as security violations. It seems that the packets had a variety of AKA's other than the Mystic system feeding me. If I turned off security for the echo(s) in question in BBBS then the packets from the Mystic system would be tossed ok. It appeared that the mail packets I was getting were carrying the AKA of the system that had sent them to my feed instead of my feed's AKA. To investigate the issue I installed Mystic v1.12 for Linux on a system here to act as a "middleman" between BBBS and the Mystic system feeding me. So that the system that had feeding BBBS was now feeding "My Mystic" which in turn was feeding BBBS. With that araingement I was able to turn echo security back on and the received packets were tossed fine. I sent some example packets to the Mystic author for his inspection as well as notifying the BBBS author of the situation. I was informed that an update to Mystic was to be made. After taking "My Mystic" out of the picture I had to once again turn security off for the echo(s) in question.
