I installed the drivers those guys pointed to (thanks guys). But the
drivers installed some demon process that was constantly eating about a
quarter of the CPU
time on both systems where I installed them. I just hate that kind of
inefficient junk.

I moved the printer in the process of doing all and when I plugged it in again it
just started constantly beeping and flashing a warning light. I do not know why. I
can't make the LED display go into some sort of mode to display info.

I ordered a Lexmark X75 (or something like) that as a replacement. I'd like to get
the Canon working again just to use it for a fax though. I don't think the Lexmark
does faxing. But I rarely do faxing anyway.
