Are you a cop?  If you don't like how people deal with diseased feral
pests, you've never had your children bitten by one.  The above person 
does not go around shooting pets.  Feral cats and other urbananized wild 
animals are a serious health hazard, and not at all the cuddlely sweet 
pets we know and love.  As much as I love my pets, I'd have zero 
compunction shooting a rabid dog, or other feral animal threatening 
humans.
