I have a question about FSC-0048, in what should be the proper setup for
a PKT file based on the following situation:
You have:
NODE X
NODE Y
Sysop X creates a message for Sysop Y.
Point 1 User on X creates a message for Point 1 user on Y.
So you now have two netmail messages that will get packed up to send
to Y.
The question is, the packet header, should it have point information
in the header or not?
The situation is this. If there was 1 message from X.1 to Y.1:
From X.1 to X:
From Address: X.1
To Address : Y.1 <<< should this be X?
X will process the packet and forward it to Y:
From Address: X.1 <<< should this be X or X.1?
To Address : Y.1 <<< should this be Y or Y.1?
Now add the second message from X to Y that will piggy back during the
X to Y session, how does that alter the packet information above?
My current design is that the PKT header address belongs between
the two interfacing nodes, so regardless of having 1 message or
2 messages, the header would have:
From X.1 to X:
From Address: X.1
To Address : X
X to Y
From Address: X
To Address : Y
This is correct right? The message themselves will determine the
true destination.
Comments?
