I agree to get in the fast lane I bought a speedy Courier HST 9600 (not
even dual) for over $550 from what I remember back in the 80's.  That
was chunk, I was glad when I got it; 2400->9600 blew me away.  I had to
put off buying that 80meg Hard drive because of it! (80 megs was huge
back then!!).  My second one was via a sysop deal for a 14400 for about
300 I think.  Things really have changed.  BTW, I was really glad I
bought into USRobotics stock when I did always a good modem and paper
preformer.
