Even with our small "relative to these numbers" of audio CD's,
our lead time for short runs, is in the order of weeks to a month. Getting
that kind of capacity for a large run would really be in that time frame. 
Yea, we can get 500 in a day or two, all things being equal.  To generate
that kind of volume, in a short turnaround, would require the use of MANY
plants, and probably a buy out of their capacity for some time.

Major music releases doing 1 million CD's typically can take 6-8 week lead
times using multiple plants.
