I do not believe that it is setting the modem with ATZ in Sunny's

message above, I set my modems with NVRam to L3 (Max volume), yet

anytime I use them in anything but a dos program the volume is

always at L2 level (this being the default for AT&F1.

Different story when I use a Dos Comms prog that resets with ATZ

its L3
