subject: PI - irrational or not?

I was reading an article in today's (11/3) Australian that said they've
discovered that PI is actually a rational number. Apparently is has only
(?!) 2,075,932,542,102 decimal places.

At work we've come up with several theories:

1. The article is true

2. The article is an April fools joke that's a couple of weeks late

3. (my suggestion!) There's a bug in the computer program that didn't
manifest itself until it had calculated 2 trillion numbers.

Any ideas what the real story is?

Paul
