The Braves traded Stephen Frazier to the Pirates for saying:
 SF> Maddox was indeed the best in '95, but not as good as Smoltz in '96.
MaddUx went 19-2 with an ERA of 1.63, FAR better numbers than what Smoltz put 
up, even after his run support faded. MaddUx set such a high standard for his 
performance that when his ERA went to 2.72 (BETTER than Smoltz, I might add), 
people were asking what was wrong with him while they were talking about how 
Smoltz FINALLY lived up to his potential. Despite the fact that MaddUx had a 
"down" year and Smoltz, in your words, "dominated", his ERA over the past 6 
years is 1 full run LOWER than John's.
