Open carry is legal in Virginia..... but
If you try this in Fairfax County (northern part of the state, bordering 
DC), you'll find yourself surrounded by a bunch of cops who will take 
your gun and charge you with something - the charge doesn't really 
matter. After a long expensive period of legal tangles, the charges will 
probably be dropped, but you'll probably not be able to get your gun 
back.
Is this legal? Nope. Can they get away with it? *I* don't have enough 
money to conduct a legal war with Fairfax County.
