BG> Incidentally, there's one thing I haven't yet tried, and it BG> might be relevant to the USR's inconsistent line probe stats BG> with Rockwells, and that is checking to see if the figures are BG> the same when the calling modem is either a Sportster or a Courier. Yeah, I think its important to check that out. Not so much because its likely that there will be a difference, but because its important to eliminate that possibility so we can see when it varys and when it doesnt. BG> Until my Courier arrives, I'm not in a position to check this, but BG> Dave sure is with Jill's V.34 Sportster. Must ask him to check that out. Yeah, and also get him to call out on one line and back in thru the other too, with a Courier/Sportster pair, on his immaculate lines/exchange. It would be very interesting to see how that compares with Russ's pair with just a cable between two modems, and Russ cant really do that test himself coz his lines to his exchange in Bris aint anything too terrific. And get him to keep the AYI11 stats on the end too, the paired column of numbers, not just the USRSTATS graph itself, coz I extract the table itself into Quattro so I can graph combinations of sessions on a single graph and get a very clear display of alternative configs. The effect of say Poes longer line out to his new place stands out like dogs balls. @EOT: ---* Origin: afswlw rjfilepwq (3:711/934.2) SEEN-BY: 711/934 @PATH: 711/934 |
