Was Downtown, so I dropped by the first and only bike store I went by...
Asked at the counter and Vernon Cycle World ( 32st and 32 ave) have
Finelli tire chains... 50 bucks before tax... and that is ONE wheel worth.
fits 26 inch mtb tire (knobby I presume, maybe urban tires as well).
They were unpacking some new tire types also... the Conti' Touring 2000
looked quite different from most... like a slick with deep V's for a tread...
I'm not sure that is a desireable distance tire, but an interesting
compromise for general use maybe... better than knobbies around town...
yet likely good on some trails... far better than pure slicks...
Looks like the melt is coming soon anyhow...
