If you look 80010001 up (it's an OS/2 Exception,  not a compiler
error),you'll see that it is "unable to grow stack".

As a rule,  you're supposed to have 8k bytes of free stack before calling
any OS/2 function.  How big of a stack are you creating your thread with?
