Well Paul, at least you have some natural predators to help you
out a little bit. There are no dogs, hawks, or anything loose around
here. The biggest and most efficient predator is the teenagers who
go down the road about 70 MPH and aim for them. I have an acre and
a half and shot 17 ground hogs out of my bedroom window last year.
That's how I found out how effective the RWS Subsonics are.
PN> ...now that _I've_ gotten back on topic, could you elaborate just a
PN> tad: "RWS"?
They are made in Germany and imported by Dynamit Nobel. They are a
soft lead hollow point that expands like crazy and dumps the pussys
like they've been hit with a hammer. They're extremely accurate out
of my 541T Remington and they are very very quiet. The only bad part
is that they run about $4.00 a box around here. I usually shoot the
ground hogs at about 60 yds as they come out of my brush pile. As
long as I get a head shot, or a good upper torso hit, they are down.
If the noise is a critical factor where you live, I think you would
really like this ammo. They are much quieter that my old Benjamin
air rifle and much more effective.
Take Care
Dave
