     I think you've got that backwards, Bonnie.  Ken's message was
100% in favor of stereo subs against my reccomendations of putting
them in a corner (the same corner for two subs).  I'm glad you agree,
however.  It's nice to see both this month's AUDIO magazine and a
practicing audio engineer can corroborate my advice.

     You'll improve your usable efficiency as well.  (quite
dramatically actually) which is good with low power subs or for those
that want their pants shaking.  I've got a concrete floor under my
stereo so I'd practically have to put the sub beside the prime
listening position to shake the couch since the concrete floor doesn't
transmit the bass very well to the couch (the walls shake rather
violently at times, though )  However, for several listeners (if
seated out of the same plane as the primary listening seat...say on a
recliner in the corner or something), the bass will not be as good
there overall as it would be in a corner, which provides the best even
spread.  However, as a recording engineer, I don't suppose you have to
worry about such a listener.
