You do NOT need two node numbers even if your IP anmd POTS systems are two separate machines. When they are properly connected via a network - an it is my understanding that they are - you can use one and the same node number for both and have the POTS number in the phone field, thereby eliminating the need for Pvt. Your were too stubborn to follow up on that however. And no, having two numbers is /not/ an advantage for the rest of the world. For them it is much easier if they don;t have to figure out manually which node number to use.
