A few possibilities though I can't say for sure on any of them. Rar
itself I don't think has the 2 Gig limit but emx that it is based on
does. There is an emx.dll file available that doesn't have this
limitation but it might require the file be relinked to it (I seem to
remember that requirement). Another option is that Winrar runs well
under Odin, it might handle the file. I have seen reference in the
Innotek GCC forum that someone has created a Zip that handles greater
than 2G but I think the limit was 4G and I don't know how you would
unzip it on the Windows side as it would still have the limitation.
In order to get the first one (which is probably the best option) to
work may require requesting the auther link against the EMX that doesn't
have the 2G limit. The only other thing that comes to mind though it
wouldn't be quick, see if Peter Moylan will add >2G support to his ftp
program. Otherwise I think I heard that IBM was going to add >2G
support to their ftp but that was 2 Warpstock's ago.
I assume if you did a straight file transfer that you are using the NTFS
drivers from ecomstation? Assuming so then you know they are read only
which is why you can't transfer back, but you ask Serenity if there is a
driver you could test with write capability (don't know that such is
even close to being ready but you could ask).
