Hi Carol, RVR>> That difference in standards is the 1-000-000-000 phone number. CS> You know though that a person outside Z1 trying to dial CS> that will sufer international dial rates to Z1 then hit the CS> operator possibly? Bad JUJU! When I dial such a number I just get the number unobtainable tone. However, you hit upon a point I have been stressing for some time. There is just no general way to know what will happen if a "fancy" phone number is dialled. Of course I could try it here, but that is no guarantee the same thing will happen when you dial it from Sasebo. It is not even a guarantee the same thing will happen when my son in the next village dials it. Non existing numbers have been known to be used as test- or special numbers by phone companies and these may differ from exchange to exchange. Even if such a number is harmless today, it may be different tomorrow. It is for this reason I believe /anything/ but a dialable phone number in the phone field is a bad idea.
