MD>Hi, folks!
MD>Does anybody know if the new Guidelines 2.1a (probably very
>excellent) are on the new HOBBES OS/2 CD_ROM???
>It seems as if no BBS in the region where I live has it so
>I would have to call long distance for 1 hour. :-(((
Uh... Look for a BBS with the Fernwood filenet.
Uh... What speed are you running at? Here's the specs on the Guideline
2.1A files:
GBASE211.ZIP 1,068,212
GBASE212.ZIP 1,364,124
GBASE213.ZIP 1,251,388
At 2400 that would be more than 3 hours, at 4800 that would be more than
an hour and a half, at 9600 that would be around 45 minutes, and 14400
that would be almost 30 minutes.
If it would really take you an hour to d/l it, check around and see if
you can find someone with a faster modem in your area willing to make
the transfer for you. Regardless of how you do get it, you'll love it!
