On the 08/03/96, Paul waffled to Dieter.. Hello Paul, PE> We have a problem to solve. I don't want to have failed PE> calls from my next Maestro SE caller. BFN. Paul. DM> When I fix the Maestro, I'll let you know. Possibly this DM> weekend. PE> You can fix electrical problems with modems? BFN. Paul. Occasionally. Easy enough if it's the power supply. Something is loading the 12v rail - it's either the 5v rail pulling down the entire positive output of the bridge rectifier, or something that is connected to the 12v supply is activating the current limiting in the actual 12v regulator itself, giving me a reduced 12v supply. Nothing seems warmer than usual, and it's not the RS232 chips, because they generally use the 12v supply, and I've removed them to check out if they loaded down the supply. I'll have to dig a little more. Dunno when - my weekends have really been shot to hell. Dieter ... Psssst... Wanna buy some Garlic Metwurst ??
