subject: Helpful little script...

On the next, Nowhere Modem:
Well I saw Telemate for Windows. I think I prefer the DOS version. But while
I was testing it, I made a very simple script. It will turn the modem
speaker on or off depending on the time. This is very useful for those who
forget to do it themselves and wake everybody up in the middle of the night.
To make it run every time you get into TMW, check the general options and
startup script should be on option. Just choose this script, and your on
your way. Here she goes:
TIMEINIT.TWS
/*
; Changes the status of the modem speaker based on the time. Any time
; between 7AM and 11PM the speaker will be on. Any other time the
; speaker will be off. You may modify as needed for your modem, and the
; times. The two times must be in 24 hour format.
; I know this isn't very complex, but here comes the big thing:

Time A ; Sets string A to the current time
B = "07:00:00"            ; Sets string B to 7AM
C = "23:00:00"            ; Sets string C to 11PM
If A < B ; If it is before seven,
  Put "ATM0^M" ; turn the speaker off (If not fully hayes, change)
Else ; If it isn't before seven,
  If A > C                ; And it is after 11PM
    Put "ATM0^M" ; turn the speaker off.
  Else                    ; Otherwise,
    Put "ATM1^M" ; Turn the speaker on.
  EndIf
EndIf
