BH>Unfortunately the Lory chick didn't make it. We had to take it on the
BH>road and had a power inverter in the van so we could use the heating
BH>pads and brooders there. It malfunctioned without our knowledge in
BH>between two hour feedings. The indicator light was still on as if it was
BH>working and we did not know it. It was a chilly night for Fla and the
BH>baby got too cold. All the others are ok.
The exact same thing happened to my friend Adair (the lady
who got the lory HF recipe for me). It turned out to be something with
the power inverter and her van being incompatible. It works fine in MY
car, but in her van it just lights up and doesn't work otherwise.
You might want to talk to the manufacturer about it if the problem
occurs again--you may need a different model.
